The solar panel converts solar energy to electricity (dc current or dc electricity). After that, this electricity passes through the regulator to the battery. The basic regulator’s function is to control the battery charging processes and maintain an appropriate level of power current that is stored in the battery.
The sun does not always shine and therefore, we need a way to save electricity to take advantage of it at night. Batteries used in solar systems are not like car batteries! Usually designed to store the electrical charge for a longer (deep cycle battery). After the battery comes the converter that converts electricity from the direct current to the current (ac electricity). Most home appliances use 220V and therefore need a transformer.
