The Office of National council for coordination of public participation on the construction of the dam revealed that 11.58 Billion Birr is collected from the public since the beginning of the construction of the dam
To attract more Public participation, road races will be held across the country on the coming Sunday. The ‘’I Will Run for Abay’’ mass running stages planned to participate more than 250.000 people. Till now, more than 230.000 people are registered, according to the office. The Office for coordination of public participation stated that 90.000 participants will take place in the 7 km road race.
