The Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project, which kicked off in March after decades of planning, is expected to deliver 80 megawatts of low-cost, clean power to the three countries bordering the falls, Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi. The project, funded by the World Bank, is expected to deliver renewable energy worth $360 million that will be shared by the three countries.
